Start Your Ministry Online — Ancient Jubilee Restoration

Start Your Ministry Online

From nothing to a website that shares His Word — every tool I use, step by step, in plain words.

Beloved, if the Father has put it on your heart to share His Word online — teachings, recipes, encouragement, your testimony — this page walks you through exactly how to begin. These are the real tools I use for this ministry, in the order you need them. Nothing hidden, nothing complicated. If I can do it, you can do it.

A plain-word disclosure: Some links on this page are affiliate links. That means if you sign up through my link, I may earn a commission — at no extra cost to you. You pay the same price either way. Those commissions help keep this ministry going, and I only recommend tools I would tell a dear friend to use. Thank you for supporting the work.
STEP 1

Get Your Domain Name — Your Address on the Internet

Your domain is your website’s address — like ancientjubileerestoration.com is mine. Pick something simple, easy to spell, and true to your calling.

I recommend: Namecheap. Fair prices, no games, and easy to manage.

  1. Click the button below to go to Namecheap.
  2. Type the name you want in the search box and click Search.
  3. Pick your ending — .com is best if it’s available.
  4. Add it to your cart and check out. That’s it — the name is yours.

What it costs: about $10–$15 a year for a .com.

STEP 2

Get Hosting — Your Website’s Home

Hosting is the piece of land your website lives on. Your domain is the address; hosting is the house. You need both.

I recommend: SiteGround. Fast, reliable, and their support will walk you through anything — I mean anything.

  1. Click the button below to go to SiteGround.
  2. Choose the StartUp plan — it’s plenty for a new ministry site.
  3. Choose “I already have a domain” and type in the domain you bought in Step 1.
  4. Fill in your account info and check out. SiteGround will set everything up for you.

What it costs: a few dollars a month to start.

STEP 3

Build Your Website — No Technical Skills Needed

This is where your ministry takes shape — your home page, your teachings, your story. You don’t need to know any code. These builders let you drag, drop, and type.

I recommend: Squarespace. Beautiful designs, simple to use, and your site looks professional from day one.

  1. Click the button below to go to Squarespace.
  2. Click “Get Started” and pick the template that feels most like you.
  3. Follow their guided setup — add your ministry name, a picture, and your first words.
  4. Connect the domain from Step 1 when you’re ready (they show you how).

What it costs: monthly plans; start with the basic one and grow.

STEP 4

Start Your Email List — Your Direct Line to Your People

Social media can change its rules any day. Your email list is yours — when you write, it lands in their inbox. Start collecting emails from day one, even if it’s just ten people.

I recommend: Kit (formerly ConvertKit). Made for creators, simple to use, free to start.

  1. Click the button below to go to Kit.
  2. Sign up for the free plan — no card needed to start.
  3. Create your first form (“Get my weekly encouragement”) and put it on your website.
  4. Write your first welcome email. Keep it warm and real — like you’re writing to a friend.

What it costs: free to start; paid plans as your list grows.

STEP 5

Design Like a Pro — Pictures for Your Posts and Videos

Every post needs a picture — your verse graphics, your thumbnails, your announcements. You don’t need to be an artist.

I recommend: Canva. Thousands of templates; change the words, and it’s yours. This is what I use for ministry graphics.

  1. Click the button below to go to Canva.
  2. Sign up free and search “Bible verse” or “YouTube thumbnail” templates.
  3. Pick one you love, change the words to your scripture, and download it.
  4. Use your own colors and style so everything looks like your ministry.

What it costs: free plan is plenty; Pro adds more if you want it later.

STEP 6

Grow on YouTube — Reach People with Video

Video carries your voice and your heart further than anything. But growing a channel takes the right tools — titles, tags, and knowing what people search for.

I recommend: TubeBuddy. It sits right inside YouTube and shows you the best titles, tags, and times to post.

  1. Click the button below to go to TubeBuddy.
  2. Install the free browser extension and connect your YouTube channel.
  3. Use their keyword tool before you title each video — it shows what people actually search.
  4. Follow their upload checklist so every video is set up to be found.

What it costs: free to start; paid plans unlock more.

STEP 7

Start Your Podcast — Let Them Hear You Anywhere

Some people will never watch a video, but they’ll listen while they drive, cook, or rest. A podcast puts your voice in their day.

I recommend: Buzzsprout. Upload your audio, and they send it to Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and everywhere else automatically.

  1. Click the button below to go to Buzzsprout.
  2. Sign up and upload your first episode — even a phone recording works to start.
  3. Fill in your show title and description with words people search for.
  4. Buzzsprout submits your show to Spotify, Apple, and the rest. You just keep recording.

What it costs: free plan to try; paid plans for more hours.

STEP 8

Earn from Your Website — Google AdSense

Once your website is up and people are visiting, you can let Google place small ads on your pages — and Google pays you when visitors see or click them. This is Google’s own program for website owners. It costs you nothing; it simply needs visitors to earn.

Google AdSense — this one isn’t an affiliate link (Google doesn’t pay for referrals); it’s my honest recommendation for the final step.

  1. Go to google.com/adsense and click “Get started.”
  2. Sign in with your Google account and add your website address.
  3. Google reviews your site (make sure you have real content up first — your teachings, your pages).
  4. Once approved, place the ad code where Google shows you. Earnings collect in your AdSense account and pay out to your bank.

What it costs: free. An honest word: at first it earns pennies — it grows as your visitors grow. Think of it as seed for the future, alongside donations and the affiliate links above.

Questions You Might Have

Do I need all eight steps?

No, beloved. Start with Steps 1–3 (domain, hosting, website) — that’s a real ministry website. Add the email list (Step 4) as soon as you can. The rest, add when you’re ready. Walk, don’t run.

How much does it cost to start?

Your domain (~$10–$15/year) plus hosting (a few dollars a month) is the true start — everything else above has a free way to begin. You can have a real website for less than a fast-food dinner a month.

I’m not technical at all. Can I really do this?

Yes. Every tool above was chosen because a non-technical person can use it. And every one of them has free help and support. Take it one step at a time, pray over it, and go.

Why are you sharing this?

Because someone once helped me start, and the Word is meant to go out — not sit still. “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news.” If this page helps one more voice rise for Him, it was worth writing.

“And He said to them, ‘Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to all creation.’” — Mark 16:15 (LSV)
